Recording Calls

When on a call with visitors, customers, or colleagues, taking notes helps you keep track of essential details but may prevent you from listening attentively.

Call recording lets you save your conversations to the cloud so you can revisit your discussions when you need to, after the actual call. It works on the following call types:

  • Inquiry Call - record visitors' maaiiconnect calls in the inquiry room
  • Outbound Call - record outbound (off-net) calls from the Dial pad and Contact list.
  • Internal Call - record staff-to-staff calls, including those dialed from extension numbers
  • Conference Call - record calls in the conference room

Depending on the settings made by your administrator, your calls may be recorded automatically or manually.

Important:

maaiiconnect currently does not support recording widget or web link calls from visitors if they are being routed to a PSTN phone number.

Automatic Call Recording

Call recording will start automatically once the call connects:

  • A four- to fourteen-second voice greeting will play, informing callers that the call is being recorded.
  • The following message will flash on the call screen for a few seconds: To ensure quality service, the call is recorded.
  • Call recording will automatically stop once the call ends.

Manual Call Recording

Call recording will only start once you click on the call recording icon on your call screen.

  • A four- to fourteen-second voice greeting will play, informing callers that the call is being recorded
  • The following message will flash on the call screen for a few seconds: To ensure quality service, the call is recorded.
  • Call recording will automatically stop once the call ends.

Call Log with Call Recording Details

Every time you or anyone else makes or receives a call on maaiiconnect, call history is logged into the room, creating a call log.

  • To view a Call Log, click on the (i) beside a call history entry on your chatroom panel. A pop-up window will display the call log details and call recording.
  • To listen to the recording, click on the Play icon.

Call Detail Report with Call Recording Details

The call detail report will be updated to include calls (inbound and outbound) and call recordings made.

Service Storage with Recording Files

Your service storage will keep the recordings made during calls. Refer to the Service Storage section of this Guide for more details.
